Happy New Year lovelies!!! I can’t believe it’s 2018…. time is really flying by. With the New Year I had sometime to think about the things I’d like to work on this year. I’m not one to make New Years Resolutions and to be honest I don’t remember the last time I made one. But this year I really want to focus on some self-care and want to make sure I make time for myself, despite being a busy mama and business owner. After all, happy mom= happy children!
This year some of the things I’d like to do:
1.) Attend a fitness class once a week. I use to do hot yoga and Bootcamp but haven’t made it to any classes last year. This one is going to be tough with hubby working away but would love to have an hour to myself each week.
2.) Make a veggie/fruit smoothie everyday and lessen my caffeine intake. I LOVE smoothies and use to make one everyday with my NutriBullet but now with Aleia I’m drinking SO much more coffee.
3.) Go away for the night with my girlfriends. This one is a PRETTY big deal to me. I haven’t been away from Aleia in 22 months for more than 6 hours. And that 6 hours was only during hubby’s Christmas party when Aleia was 10 months old. Other than that we are together 24/7. I think this would be the perfect daddy and daughter bonding weekend.
4.) More date nights with hubby. It is SO tough to go on dates not having any family nearby but would love to do more this year before we try for a new baby and life gets even more busy.
5.) Organize the house and purge. It is unbelievable how much we collect over time and I don’t honestly think I’m a hoarder but need to minimalize the amount of stuff in the bedrooms, Playroom, closets and garage.
6.) READ READ READ. I love reading and need to make time for it before bed time instead of falling asleep browsing on my phone. Would love to fall asleep reading a good book and drinking tea, the perfect way to end a busy day.
7.) STOP and slow down more. I’m always on the go, doing the next thing. This year I’d like to slow down just little, unplug and enjoy my family more. Aleia’s growing up way too fast and I need to soak all these tiny moments up!

Spinach (1/2 cup, but I always add more)
